The PPHSG is a group of homeschooling families in the Pikes Peak region who work together to provide opportunities for science education for their children. The group is open to all families who educate their children at home.

History

In the fall of 2001 the PPHSG was first formed as the SHSSG Science Olympiad team. After three years of organizing a Science Olympiad team for the SHSSG, we've formed a new organization to be more inclusive of different people and kinds of activities.

What We Do

Primarily, the purpose of the PPHSG is still to organize and field a team for the national Science Olympiad competition. We are also considering other undertakings, including:

• Speakers and field trips
• Biweekly science cooperative classes
• Math Olympiad and other competitions
• Monitoring scholarship and other individual opportunities

At this point, the exact purpose and activities of the group are not set in stone. We encourage you to get involved and turn the PPHSG into something that will help you and your family in the homeschooling process.
